Make a lasting impact.
In the niche field of Estates & Facilities Management, the more senior you become, the fewer opportunities there seem to be to take your next step.
Being comfortable is nice, but if you’re not in your last role, you’re probably looking for more.
Like many sectors this year, Education has faced some challenges, so if you’re considering a move, it’s important to make the right one.
Thomas’s London Day Schools is a family-owned group of independent schools in South West London, comprising one kindergarten and five schools — and they’re not stopping there.
Thomas’s College will open in September 2025, relocating and expanding their current senior school at Putney Vale. The new College will offer day and boarding services, initially for Years 7–12, growing to a capacity of 630 students from Year 7–13.
With a historic Grade II-listed site acquired, backing onto Richmond Park, this will be your new office. With a new Master already in place and the support of the group’s senior leadership team, you’ll be the missing piece of the puzzle to bring this groundbreaking project to fruition and establish the school as a landmark for generations to come.
You’ll take charge of all aspects of operational management, including: health and safety, physical resources, building fabric and maintenance, environmental impact, catering, cleaning, grounds, sports facilities, commercial lettings, and College security.
With a new sports club and grounds under development, you’ll have an early opportunity to deliver capital projects. Supported by the COO and the senior leadership team — with healthy budgets and resources — you’ll have the autonomy to build your team, deliver results, and implement processes and systems that leverage your extensive experience.
The College will open its doors before you know it, so experience in the education sector and strong track record in operations and facilities management will be crucial to ensure a smooth and successful launch. Your expertise will guide the school in taking its first and future steps.
In return, you will receive a director-level salary for the sector, 30 days' annual leave (plus bank holidays), complimentary lunches during term time, a generous pension scheme, flexible working arrangements, and the benefits of a family ethos with a culture of warmth and mutual support.
