JOB TITLE – Data Protection and Security Administrator LOCATION – Chorley TYPE – Perm HOURS - Full Time Working for NSG NSG Environmental Ltd has been delivering work programmes in the nuclear industry for over 40 years. Traditionally in the areas of decommissioning and waste management, NSG now has a broad customer base and provides a wide spectrum of services across the nuclear project lifecycle, ranging from expert consultancy support, R&D and engineering design to rekit and refurbishment, site installation services and high-hazard physical decommissioning works, amongst others. This work is delivered at NSG’s own offices and purpose-built facilities and nuclear sites across the UK. The delivery and management of these projects and programmes of work is carried out by a skilled workforce composed of both white-collar and blue-collar personnel in technical, administrative, and physical roles. The Role To assist the data protection and security team with administrative duties. To ensure compliance with corporate and government legislation and carry out administrative tasks. As directed by the Data Protection Lead and Information Security Manager. Data Protection Reviewing, implementing, updating, and documenting companywide data protection policies and procedures. To provide support to ensure data protection and Security is maintained to the required standard and applicable regulations. Provide general administrative support to the data protection lead. Work with the relevant stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of data protection compliance across NSG. Security Reviewing, implementing, updating, and documenting companywide information security policies and procedures. Assisting with security audits. Management of Protectively Marked Documentation. To assist with the management the security infrastructure of NSG and where relevant the supply chain, ensuring the provision of appropriate security arrangements relating to all Civil Nuclear and Defence Projects. Personnel Vetting Assist with the processing of security clearance for the Company including: Baseline checks for new starters. Processing SC and DV security applications. Organising transfer of clearances. Organising DBS checks. Processing annual SAF’s. Liaise with client vetting offices. Person Specification Qualifications Good standard of education to include English and Maths at GCSE or equivalent- Essential L3 in Business Administration or other relevant subjects or equivalent experience- Desirable DISA Security Vetting- Desirable Level 2 Health & Safety in the Workplace or equivalent- Relevant Training will be provided if required Experience & Knowledge Evidence of technical or teamwork experience in a business setting- Essential Experience in carrying out Administration work- Essential Personnel Security training- Essential Well organised with the ability to work to timescales and demonstrate attention to detail- Essential Personnel Security training- Desirable Used to dealing with confidential and commercial information- Desirable Experience of employment in a customer facing role- Desirable Familiar with integrated management system operating procedures and requirements etc- Desirable
