We are seeking a confident and experiencedBehaviour Mentorto join this vibrant secondary school in Enfield. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong interest in mental health and a commitment to helping students overcome barriers to learning.
Key Responsibilities of the Behaviour Mentor:
* Provide one-to-one mentoring and support to students with SEMH needs.
* Assist in managing behaviour effectively, creating a positive and supportive learning environment.
* Work closely with the pastoral team to address students’ individual needs and support their emotional development.
* Build strong relationships with students, acting as a role model and advocate for their well-being.
* Collaborate with teachers and other staff to implement tailored strategies that help students succeed.
* Supervise detentions and exclusion rooms.
About the Successful Behaviour Mentor:
* Experience:Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in managing behaviour, is essential.
* Education:A degree in Psychology or a related field is highly desirable.
* Skills:Confident, empathetic, and patient, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Motivation:A strong interest in mental health and aspirations to progress into pastoral care or a behaviour mentoring role.
* Compliance:Must have a validDBS on the update serviceand be able to provideexcellent references covering the last two years.
