Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Multi-Skilled Engineer to join their engineering team. The primary goal of this role is to ensure safe and uninterrupted plant operations by swiftly addressing equipment issues and maintaining a robust preventive maintenance program. Hours: 4 shifts on & 4 days off (First 2 shifts are days, second 2 shifts are nights). 12hr shifts. 6am-6pm, 6pm-6am. Key Responsibilities: Preventive Maintenance: Adhere to the Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedule, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and documented accurately. Statutory Inspections: Oversee the timely completion of all statutory inspections, logging and addressing any remedial works as necessary. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing operational enhancements. Breakdown Repairs: Respond promptly to breakdowns, performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementing corrective and preventative measures. 5S Standards: Maintain the highest standards of housekeeping in a controlled 5S environment. Collaboration: Work with external professionals and specialists to resolve technical challenges effectively. Health & Safety: Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety policies, escalating any concerns promptly. Teamwork: Collaborate closely with the Engineering Supervisor and Production Shift Managers to support seamless operations. Leadership & Initiative: Communicate confidently and take initiative, including leading tasks when required. Essential Skills and Experience: Technical Expertise: Planned and Reactive Maintenance. Fault finding and diagnostics. Proficiency with PLC systems and HMI controls. Knowledge of Mechanical, Pneumatic, and Hydraulic systems. Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (HND, HNC, ONC, City & Guilds) in a relevant subject. 17th/18th Edition certification is required. Experience: At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in a fast-paced factory environment
