Job Opportunity: Part-Time Science Teacher
Our client, a popular and highly successful oversubscribed school in Grantham, is seeking a Part-Time Science Teacher to start in September. The role involves teaching every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday until the end of the academic year.
The ideal candidate will have a Chemistry specialism and be familiar with the AQA framework. Key qualities include enthusiasm, the ability to set high but realistic targets to challenge pupils, and experience delivering engaging Chemistry lessons while effectively managing the classroom.
As this is a part-time position, responsibilities will include some planning and marking, with time allocated within the timetable. You will have the opportunity to work in a supportive and well-organized Science department. Chemistry is a popular subject at the school.
The salary will be in accordance with the main point scale.
Requirements
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a recognized teaching qualification such as PGCE, Bachelor of Education, GTP, or Certificate in Education.
2. Experience delivering Chemistry to GCSE level.
3. Applications are welcomed from both experienced Science Teachers and those recently qualified or early career teachers.
4. All applicants must undergo 2 years of professional references, an enhanced DBS check, and be enrolled in the DBS Update Service. A face-to-face registration at our Grantham office is also required.
