Job Description
As a Control Room Team Leader, you will ensure stable day-to-day MHE (Mechanical Handling Equipment) operations in the DC and support improvement opportunities in alignment with global MHE operating principles and standards.
Responsibilities:
* Support smooth day-to-day MHE operations and stable performance.
* Lead, manage and organize MHE department team and monitor performance.
* Execute MHE maintenance, solve operational issues (incl. communication with local MHE vendor’s support team) and escalate, where needed, to Regional Logistics Sales & Ops.
* Support in identifying MHE improvement potentials to maximize operational excellence, quality and efficiency, and closely collaborate with DC management and Regional Log. Sales & Ops in implementation.
* Ensure alignment to regional and global MHE operating principles and standards.
* Support global Program Management and Test & Roll out team implementing or replacing MHE/MHE – system in the DC, incl. implementing the goods flow diagram and end-to-end MHE process.
* Provide MHE-relevant input into operations training, provide competence to up-skill the operations training team.
* Support solving implementation issues in close alignment with the Program Management and Test & Roll-out team.
* Follow up on external provider contracts.
Qualifications
* Profound expertise in MHE engineering and (semi-) automated DC concepts and operations.
* Sound understanding of technical linkages and functional split between MHE, WCS and WMS.
* Good understanding of regional and global logistics and MHE standards.
* Ability to understand and apply new system features/updates within a given time frame as well as ability for knowledge transfers.
* Ability to encourage collaboration, co-creation and people development by empowering others.
