We are seeking a dedicated Resettlement Property and Accommodation Team Manager to take on a vital role in shaping our partnerships, policies, and people approach.
This role is essential for enhancing our communications, engagement models, and operational service delivery framework related to accommodation and property projects for the Refugee, Resettlement & Migration Service.
Salary : £58,131 to £61,445 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: Full-time (37 hours per week)
Location: Your base location will be Centenary House, Woodfield Road, Crawley, West Sussex, RH10 8GP or County Hall, West Street, Chichester PO19 1RQ with required countywide travel.

JOB DETAILS
As the Resettlement Property & Accommodation Team Manager, you will passionately oversee the management of the property pipeline, guiding the preparation and readiness of properties while leading strategic property projects across West Sussex. In addition, you will play a vital role to the daily operational management of the Property and Accommodation Pathway team.
Our work in the Refugees, Resettlement & Migration Service brings a unique experience each day, filled with unexpected challenges and rewards! There are several key responsibilities that are likely to be integral to this role, including:
1. Overseeing the management of the property pipeline, property preparation, property readiness and strategic property projects across West Sussex, alongside the daily operational running of the Property and Accommodation Pathway team.
2. Collaborate effectively with internal Council departments, District and Borough Councils, Sussex Police, and other stakeholders to identify property and resettlement opportunities.
3. Providing subject matter expertise on accommodation matters for the Refugee, Resettlement, and Migration service across the organisation and broader partnership.
4. Leading and nurturing your team to deliver a high-quality tenancy management service is essential. By fostering a fair, accessible, and consistent approach, we not only enhance safeguarding but also courageously challenge exploitation and harm, ensuring a safe and welcoming living environment for every resident.
5. Establishing connections across partner agencies and council departments to tackle inequality, maximise engagement and facilitate the inclusion of the voice of migrated communities across organisations.
6. Driving operational improvements, ensuring the development and implementation of relevant policies and strategies.
7. Negotiating opportunities to integrate learning and best practices throughout the Accommodation Pathway team.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
8. Post-graduate/professional qualification in management or the service specialism, or equivalent level of significant experience demonstrating comprehensive application of knowledge in a relevant setting.
9. Significant experience in providing customer-facing services for communities or working in housing/accommodation support or a related field.
10. Skills in effective research, evaluation, and interpretation to draw conclusions and develop plans for the short to medium term.
11. Strong communication skills, with the capacity to confidently influence and persuade others, negotiate effective business solutions, challenge existing practices and identify innovative solutions.
12. Demonstrated leadership skills and a commitment to providing direction, managing and leading change, and supporting individuals and teams as part of our mission to secure continuous improvement.
13. Skills to manage budgets and undertake business planning and performance management.
14. Proven implementation of sound project management principles and practices to address complex issues, establishing timelines and quality benchmarks, and evaluating the effectiveness of service delivery.
