Medway Council are recruiting for a Children's Social Worker.
Salary: Up to 41,567 + 5,500 market premia + 3,000 annual retention payment after 1 year's service.
As a Children's Social Worker, you will need to:
1. Provide a high-quality and effective professional casework service, taking responsibility for managing a caseload within a framework of appropriate supervision.
2. Comply with legislation, statutory guidance, and local policies and procedures.
3. Be competent in all areas of the PCF at Social Worker level and The Knowledge and Skills Statement (KSS) for approved child and family practitioners.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Manage a caseload within a framework of appropriate reflective supervision, undertaking focused, analytical assessments, preparing SMART care plans and reviews that have clear objectives and outcome measures to ensure that all looked after children receive a service that reflects the Council's commitment to achieving positive outcomes.
2. Demonstrate and model good practice that reflects a commitment to relationship and strengths-based practice, working collaboratively with children and their families.
3. Work directly with children and young people to establish their lived experiences, wishes, and feelings, using a variety of techniques as required.
4. Work with children and families in a variety of diverse and complex contexts, such as mental ill health, disability, substance misuse, domestic abuse, sexual and criminal exploitation, radicalisation, poverty, discrimination, and immigration.
Minimum Requirements:
1. A degree or masters in Social Work (or any other recognised equivalent qualification).
2. HCPC registration.
