Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit an Administration Assistant based at Thurrock Hospital with the Appointments Team. This is a part time position working 2 days a week -Friday and other week day TBC in the office. The post holder must be flexible able to work on their own initiative and a part of a team. The role will involve receiving and dealing with telephone enquiries, responding appropriately to callers with other general administrative tasks. We will offer you support, supervision, training and the opportunity for personal development. Main duties of the job We are looking for experienced candidates with an excellent level of administration, interpersonal and organisational skills. You will also need to be computer literate with experience of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. You will be given full training on the various systems that we use. We are looking for someone with a positive and compassionate approach to supporting patient care. The role will include telephone calls from clients and due to the nature of the services we carry out administrative support for these can sometimes be distressing.Successful candidates will be expected to work in the organisation, providing services in a professional, efficient, friendly and polite manner. You must be able to build effective working relationships, be approachable and accessible with a flexible approach to work.
