What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
* Experience leading teams of business analysts within an agile environment, offering support, coaching, and guidance.
* Experience developing Business Analyst capabilities, developing robust strategies and designing, implementing, and reviewing processes.
You and your role
As a Lead Business Analyst, you will be managing and developing our business analytics capabilities.
Our Business Analysts work alongside multidisciplinary digital experts to transform IT systems and migrate millions of cases across more than 90 policy lines onto innovative, accessible new digital services.
The products and services we build, maintain, and modernise are used by 23 million unique users and power £195bn payments every year.
You'll work closely with the Head of Role for Business Analysts. In this role, you will build robust analytics processes within either our Retirement team or Universal Credit team.
You'll coach and support a team of high-performing business analysts and help us define what good BA work looks like in DWP.
You'll be the most senior BA professional in the room, liaising with senior stakeholders, department leads, and across government to discuss and understand complex requirements, leading workshops and presentations.

Location: You'll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in Leeds or Newcastle, whichever is most convenient for you.
Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model - you'll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub.
Pay: We offer competitive pay of up to £77,740.
Pension: You'll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%, worth up to £22,466 per year.
Holidays: A generous leave package starting at 26 days rising to 31 days over time. You can also take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time. You'll also get all the usual public holidays.
