You will need to be physically fit and have lots of energy.You will work across all key stages supporting their personal, social and emotional development. You will take the lead on attendance and work to actively engage all children and families. You will work closely with the class teachers as well as being expected to work independently with individuals and small groups, plan, and prepare for this. You will need to have good behaviour management skills and be prepared to engage energetically with the children. You will support with PE, ensuring all children actively engage in lessons and you will deliver sports based after school clubs for vulnerable children. You will support parents and families via the Early help process and deliver parenting training. You will be expected to assist with the care of disabled children and physically assist in their evacuation in case of emergency. The role involves home visits to families and communication and collaboration with outside agencies as appropriate. The role would also include establishing and maintaining the school garden and vegetable plot and supporting vulnerable children with the engagement of this. You will work closely with all class teachers and our team of learning support assistants and be managed by the Associate Head teacher
