About The Role
Morrison Water Services, part of M Group Services, is recruiting for a Ganger to work on our Caledonia Water Alliance contract. This is a site-based role working on projects across Central Scotland.
As a MEICA Pipeline Commissioning Operative, you will be part of our Operations team, responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of our wastewater and water infrastructure and civil engineering projects. Morrison Water Services are proud to be a key partner on the Caledonia Water Alliance, successfully and safely working with Scottish Water to jointly deliver SR21, a six-year water and wastewater infrastructure pan Scotland capital investment programme.
Due to ongoing growth, we have exciting opportunities for experienced Gangers to join our growing Water division!
Your Responsibilities
1. Work as part of the CWA project team to deliver successful installation, testing and commissioning activities of all pipeline installations.
2. Be part of a wider number of pipeline teams in support of commissioning activities on site.
3. Assist with the safe planning and execution of pipeline commissioning activities on site.
4. Provide input where required to the compilation of Commissioning Plans, safe systems of work and testing procedures.
5. Work closely with Scottish Water to help develop detailed Pipeline elements of the Commissioning Plans.
6. Assist the team leader and Supervisor in completing all relevant paperwork associated with commissioning and testing activities and project deliverables.
7. Provide commissioning support to construction site staff.
8. Work with Inspection Test Plan and ensure Quality Control in accordance with the water industry standards and specifications.
9. Maintain a presence at work activity locations of sub-contractors and CWA staff.
10. Provide assistance in the control and use of commissioning equipment including calibration of equipment when due.
11. Liaise with and supervise sub-contractors commissioning activities.
12. Providing input to the Commissioning Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
13. Follow programmed works and inform site manager of deviations.
14. Undertake record keeping and equipment checks.
15. Help prepare site reports on commissioning activities.
