The role will provide a complimentary service to the school, addressing the needs of children who require assistance in overcoming barriers (including challenging behaviour, anxiety, and low self-esteem) to learning to achieve their full potential. Working under the direction of the Assistant Headteacher, the postholder will work with a range of pupils, but give priority to those who need the most help. The post will be school based but have a wider remit to include families and the wider community.
This is a crucial role within our school and falls within the Pastoral Team who are successfully led by our Assistant Headteacher – Inclusion and Wellbeing. We are looking to expand our pastoral offer as the school continues to grow. The primary focus will be ensuring students can access and attend lessons, with support and strategies employed to encourage this.
