Future Opportunities:
KBR Information Management team supports the engineering function and information systems used to ensure that engineering data is correct, complete, and consistent.
Data Managers administrate data repositories for the storage and maintenance of engineering and supplier data. It involves receiving and performing data transfers, validation, change management, reporting, and analysis to ensure effective handover of a complete, accurate dataset.
What you will be doing:
As a Data Manager, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of Class Library and the setup, management, and operation of Engineering Data Warehouse and the operation of interfaces with engineering applications.
You will define data management plans for engineering and supplier data delivery across project phases and interfaces, including the development and maintenance of project tag numbering schema, class libraries, deliverable production, reporting, and data progress measurement.
Other roles and responsibilities include:
1. Planning, directing, coordinating, and being the focal point for all data management activities.
2. Liaising with engineering and supply chain to ensure the completion and compliance of data submission.
3. Having a strong understanding, experience, and expertise in the management of Engineering Data Warehouse and Class Library (AVEVA Engineering or Hexagon Smartplant Foundation toolset).
4. Engineering Data Warehouse
o Configuring Grids for data entry.
o Tag management.
o Supporting the development of Engineering key list data.
o User support.
5. Class Library Management (e.g. AVEVA ISM)
o Defining and maintaining corporate/project Class Library.
o Defining tag naming format.
o Configuring controlled value lists, UOMS, etc.
o Managing data to other applications such as AVEVA Net/Engage.
o Demonstrating a strong understanding of IM and Data Management concepts i.e., Data Class Libraries, Interfaces with Engineering Applications, etc.
6. Managing multi-location IM data management teams.
7. Liaising with Client and/or Construction and/or Completions team personnel to ensure commissioning/operational hand-over requirements are understood and being met.
8. Defining and developing data reports on completeness and statistics.
9. Providing regular reports on the completeness of the dataset.
10. Coordinating with engineering disciplines to resolve any data inconsistencies, errors, or mapping issues.
What you will need:
1. University degree qualification or equivalent oil and gas industry experience.
2. Experience in an Engineering, Designer, or information management role.
3. An understanding of relational database applications to analyse, manipulate, and transfer data.
4. Experience of using AVEVA Engineering/information standards manager (ISM), Life Cycle Server, SMARTPLANT Foundation.
5. Knowledge of AVEVA Net, AVEVA Engage, and AIM is an advantage.
6. SSRS, OBIEE, Power BI reporting or similar required. PML, procedural SQL, etc. is an advantage.
7. Working knowledge of CFIHOS or other equivalent class libraries.
