As a key member of the CamdenBoss management team, the Head of Purchasing will lead the Purchasing requirements of the business, ensuring that prices are continuously monitored and negotiated with Suppliers and that contracts are regularly reviewed and maintained accordingly.
Responsible for developing the purchasing team and promoting a culture of continuous improvement whilst ensuring that Health and Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure on-time delivery of product.
2. Work with the Operations Manager to continue to develop continuous improvements in ERP.
3. Manage stock control and ensure accurate stock holding at all times.
4. Report daily to the Business on any lead time issues that will cause customer delays.
5. Implement and lead the S&OP process to ensure forecast demand is managed in production and communicated to internal stakeholders.
6. Build good working relationships with suppliers and continue to negotiate supplier prices to secure the best possible outcome for CamdenBoss.
7. Anticipate and react to supplier/customer/stakeholder issues, resolving them when they occur, to instil confidence and develop the business’s reputation in the market as a trusted UK partner.
