How you'll help us live our purpose
Solutions Design Lead | Core Banking Architecture
12 Months Fixed Term Contract
We've been helping our members save for their future and buy a home of their own since 1845. By joining us, you'll play a big role in helping us to put home ownership within reach of more people, generation after generation.
It's a purpose that drives everything we do and one we're proud of. And you can play your part too as a Solutions Design Lead ensuring our Core Replacement Programme delivers an ecosystem that enables a foundation for the future.
How you'll make a difference
We are currently looking to recruit a Solutions Design Lead on a 12 month fixed term contract basis. This is a pivotal role within our Core programme – the largest transformation programme in the Society's 140 year history. This is a replacement of our core banking systems with a modern SaaS cloud ecosystem.
Working for the Core Programme Architecture Lead and closely with our Solutions Architects, you will take their technical roadmaps to the next level; working with senior stakeholders to ensure solution designs align to the roadmap. You are a natural communicator and adept at bringing people together on the solutions design journey. You will shape the end-to-end design for the replacement of our current core banking platform, managing dependencies, consideration of integration principles and accelerating change through the creation of reference architectures.
What you'll bring to the role:
* Solutions design or architectural background establishing technical roadmaps in a large programme environment.
* Previous experience enabling change through a SaaS based ecosystem.
* Experience of public cloud technologies ideally Microsoft Azure.
* Experience of system integration technologies ideally Azure.
* Broad technical background covering architecture frameworks and design patterns.
And in return, you'll get the best from us:
* Hybrid working with 60% of your time at home.
* Matched pension contributions of up to 10%.
* 26 days holiday, plus bank holidays and holiday purchase scheme of up to 5 days each year.
* Electric vehicle scheme.
* 2 days' volunteering per year.
We'll give you a place to belong with the support to learn, develop and shape a meaningful career.
