Job Opportunity: Site Manager - Civils Sector (Permanent Role)
Main Contractor | Remote Role with Office in Kegworth
Our client is a leading main contractor in the civil engineering sector, and due to the successful award of a prestigious contract with Severn Trent Water, we are looking for a talented Site Manager to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent Site Manager role, offering a mix of remote working with visits to our Kegworth office and project sites as needed.
Experience in both the water treatment sector and civil engineering would be highly advantageous for this position. As a Site Manager, you will work closely with an expert engineering team, consisting of a Contracts Manager, Project Manager, and Site Engineer, all of whom are also in permanent roles.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage daily site operations, ensuring the project is delivered on time and within budget.
2. Lead and coordinate all on-site activities, including supervision of subcontractors and trades.
3. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
4. Liaise with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are achieved.
5. Maintain clear and effective communication between the site and office teams.
6. Monitor progress and quality control throughout all phases of construction.
7. Manage site resources effectively, including labour, materials, and equipment.
8. Prepare reports and update the Contracts and Project Manager on site progress.
9. Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with contractual specifications and standards.
10. Proactively identify potential issues and resolve them to avoid delays or additional costs.
