As a financial controller, you will work closely with the Finance Manager and assist them in various tasks, such as:
* Preparing and filing statutory accounts, tax and VAT reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
* Conducting finance due diligence review and providing insights and recommendations.
* Managing and controlling the balance sheet and ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
* Forecasting the balance sheet and cashflow in collaboration with the Finance Manager and supporting the budgeting process.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or a professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.
* At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a medium-sized or large organisation.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
* A proactive, positive, and team-oriented attitude.
You will also enjoy working hybrid, with flexibility to work from home or from our office in Liverpool city centre.
