Reporting into the Workshop Supervisor and/or Asset Planning and Workshop Control Manager, the incumbent will work in the Engineering Workshop in Workshop, focused on the refurbishment, modification and testing of equipment required for Air Products Customer Installation and Exchange jobs for dispatch in accordance with the requested delivery date set in SAP.
What will you do?
1. Processing of all Work Order equipment prep requests assigned to the Worcester Workshop.
2. Timely and accurately preparation of Cryogenic Storage Tanks and subsequent pipework and ancillary equipment for customer orders.
3. Undertake mechanical installation, testing and refurbishment of pressure pipework and associated components on cryogenic tanks and record keeping of associated paperwork.
4. Timely and accurately pick parts and equipment to replenish workbench Kanban and to ensure equipment preparation can be completed to meet customer demand dates.
5. Complete failure reports on equipment.
6. Assembly and refurbishment of Nitrogen Generators, compressors, ODMs and associated equipment and record keeping of relevant paperwork.
7. Organizing of tank refurbishment work and job reporting to workshop supervisor.
8. Carry out Oxygen Cleaning activities to equipment as required.
9. Ensure compliance in LearnEx to all requisite and demonstrate understanding of fundamentals of cryogenic applications.
10. Assist with investigations as part of Returns/Complaints processes to identify common failure modes of equipment or to highlight customer errors in use of equipment.
11. Contribute to Continuous Improvement Events within the department.
12. Assist with Facility Planned Maintenance tasks as requested by the UKI IG Workshop Supervisor.
What are we looking for?
1. Full Driving License (desired).
2. MEWP License.
3. Basic Engineering experience in pipework, fitting, pneumatics, fabrication, welding, soldering, brazing disciplines.
4. Basic understanding of pressure vessels and associated components – safety devices, regulators, valves etc.
5. Basic electrical knowledge.
6. Logical problem solver.
7. Able to work effectively within a team and as an individual.
