Estimator – Structural Steel Industry A well-established company in the structural steel industry is seeking an experienced Estimator to join the team. This is a full-time, office-based role with occasional site visits, offering a competitive salary and benefits package. Key Responsibilities: Prepare accurate cost estimates for structural steel projects, including primary steel packages, secondary steelwork, and architectural metalwork. Work on a range of projects, from small jobs to large tender submissions. Interpret both paper drawings and CAD models to assess project requirements and costs. Liaise with client estimators, surveyors, suppliers, and internal team members to ensure accurate and competitive pricing. Utilize Excel and Word proficiently for estimating and reporting tasks. Requirements: Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in an Estimator role within the structural steel industry. Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and installation. Ability to work efficiently under deadlines and manage multiple estimates simultaneously. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Working Hours & Benefits: Full-time role (39-hour week) with flexible start and finish times. Monday to Friday schedule. Competitive salary: £46,000 - £50,000 per year. Company pension.
