Our client are well-established in the UK and globally as a FM and property/M&E services provider, who seek an experienced and technically qualified Account Director to ensure the delivery of planned and reactive services across a newly-awarded and high profile campus in the West London area, close to the Kensington area. This is a mixed-use development, comprising commercial office space, events, retail and residential, and ideally will require someone with experience of running a mobilisation or handover from large-scale refurbishment. Guideline salary for this position is circa £(phone number removed) salary along with a competitive package which includes annual bonus, car allowance and healthcare as well as standard benefits.
This role offers a rare opportunity to take over an account from its inception, with the successful individual involved in the various mobilisation & recruitment stages and having full input of the engineering and management team appointments, shaping their team to deliver a 5* service for the customer who have ambitions of delivering a premier workplace and entertainment hub in the West London area. As such they seek an articulate and personable operator who can win hearts & minds and drive a best in class FM & engineering delivery across the account.
This role will provide leadership, development and performance management across a high profile, multi-use destination campus in West London. The individual will supply strategic, tactical and technical operational leadership and direction across multiple workstreams and complex stakeholder map and commercial model, and lead a multi-faceted team of Contract Managers, and a wider engineering to ensure exceptional service delivery at what will become a globally recognisable destination venue.
Candidates must be fully qualified in either electrical or mechanical engineering, with at least five years of demonstrable experience in an Account Manager / Director role within a commercial mixed-use environment.
Duties will include:
· Leads and develop dedicated account / contract teams.
· Set the strategic direction for the team.
· Deliver the strategic goals / direction of the sector
· Member of companies extended leadership team comprising FM organisation and supply chain partners working with a “one team” ethos.
· Manage the P&L of contracts including sales/growth/costs and WIP/Debt management including fee revenue targets and stretch objectives.
· Establish a robust governance framework that drives collaborative working relationships with all stakeholders and suppliers.
· To identify opportunities and work with wider stakeholders to develop associated operating models to add more value to providing additional/alternative services and methods of delivery to drive business development of the Contract.
· Full understanding of Contract SLA and KPI and delivers these whilst ensuring industry best practice.
· Set priorities for the team to ensure task completion, coordinates work activities with others.
· Build Partnerships with Client and Colleagues through open transparent and timely communication.
· Ensure a professional image is presented to clients and visitors and ensure excellence in customer service is delivered and promoted at all times.
· Adapt management style to meet changing needs of the business or operational circumstances.
· Inform the Divisional Director of all contract issues that are likely to impact internally or externally.
· Provide support and coaching for Direct reports.
· Ensure technical support and infrastructure is maintained at all times for the effective operation.
· Ensure an effective process is in place for change management and governance of the estate and contract.
· Prepare & conduct presentations/proposals when required that are suitable for executive level review.
· Ensure contract quality documentation & implementation programs are produced & delivered for the contract.
· Ensure contract renewals/variations are completed within change control procedures & operational performance & the account P&L is reviewed annually.
· Make decisions guided by policies, procedures and business plan.
· Provide informative and engaging communications to the contract team members to inform them of client and business priorities.

Experience Required:
· Managerial experience at Account Director above within technical and or hard services is essential.
· A demonstrable track record in leading engineering teams within a highly complex and high profile environment with excellent knowledge of the industry market.
· Previous experience working with major construction principal contractors and mobilising sites from CDM to occupation is desirable.
· Ability to work effectively within a matrix management structure
· New business hunter qualities as well as very strong account management skills
· Able to build positive relationships with Client in order to speedily resolve day to day operational problems and identify opportunities for increasing the level of profitable business arising from these relationships.

Qualifications Required
· Technical Engineering Background - Mechanical / Electrical qualifications and demonstrable experience
· IOSH
· Competent working knowledge of M&E or Fabric disciplines
· Sound level of administration and organisational skills
· Account Leadership experience
· Computer literate Word, Excel, Outlook
