Role: History Teacher As a History Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that inspire and engage students in their study of history. You will support students in developing a well-rounded understanding of historical events, figures, and concepts. Your role will include: As a History Teacher, you should be planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and meaningful History lessons to students of various age groups (KS3, KS4, and KS5). Encouraging students to apply historical analysis and critical thinking skills in various contexts. Supporting students in their academic development, providing guidance and assistance when needed. Collaborating with other members of staff to ensure a holistic approach to education. Contributing to the development of the History curriculum. Participating in the assessment and monitoring of student progress in History. Ensuring the effective delivery of the History syllabus. Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment within the History department. As a qualified History Teacher, you will be expected to attend departmental meetings. Key Qualities We Are Looking For: A strong passion for History and a desire to support students' historical understanding. A recognized teaching qualification in History, or equivalent. Experience in teaching History to secondary-aged students is highly desirable. A passion for developing young people academically and critically. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a stimulating and collaborative team.
