Job summary We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Radiographer to join our friendly, multi professional, dynamic team who are committed to delivering an excellent service with the focus on patient care in the Wirral Breast Centre based in Clatterbridge Hospital. Screening and symptomatic examinations are carried out at the Clatterbridge site with a screening only service provided at our satellite unit based at St Catherine's Health Centre in Birkenhead. We have 3 GE Pristina mammography units at Clatterbridge and a GE Pristina at St Catherine's You will ideally have the PG Certificate in Mammography and be HCPC Registered to provide a fully comprehensive breast service to the women of the Wirral. Radiographers interested in training are welcome to apply and if successful will be appointed on a B6 Annex 21 paypoint We are committed to promoting Advanced Practice and have a Consultant radiographer in post as well as 3 Advanced Practitioners undertaking Interventional procedures: stereotactic biopsies, magseed insertion, VAB/VAE, wire localisation. We are also introducing CEM to aid the diagnosis and treatment of ladies who attend this department. We encourage post graduate learning with regular CPD sessions, attend MDT meetings, and the opportunity to attend conferences.
