Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Building Services London Paying up £70k My client is a renowned consultancy firm specializing in innovative building services solutions across the UK and the Middle East. their diverse project portfolio spans commercial, residential, healthcare, and hospitality sectors, they're dedicated to delivering exceptional, sustainable designs to meet their clients' highest expectations. They're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role offers the flexibility of a hybrid working model, with 3 days office and 2 days working from home. As a senior member of their engineering team, you will play a critical role in leading the design of complex mechanical systems, mentoring junior engineers, and driving the successful delivery of high-profile projects across the UK and the Middle East. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage the design of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, across various building sectors. - Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are fully understood and addressed with innovative and effective solutions. - Oversee the preparation of detailed design specifications, calculations, and technical reports, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices. - Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical and structural engineers, architects, and project managers, to ensure integrated and optimized design solutions. - Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development. - Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure that designs are accurately implemented. - Stay abreast of the latest developments in mechanical design, building services, and sustainability, integrating cutting-edge technologies and approaches into your work. - Play an active role in business development by identifying new opportunities, preparing proposals, and contributing to client presentations.
