Salary:
£58,000 – £64,000 + up to 10% bonus per annum
Working Location: Milton Keynes, 4 days in the office. Review after probation.

What you’ll be doing
11. Ensure NHBC’s compliance with UK GAAP and Solvency II reporting, maintaining accurate financial records and controls.
12. Prepare and analyse financial documents, with particular focus on insurance result management accounting.
13. Develop and maintain financial models within the Finance department.
14. Oversee tax compliance for various taxes including Corporation Tax, VAT, and IPT.
15. Manage, support, and develop direct reports, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
The ideal candidate will have
16. Several years of post-qualification experience in finance and tax
17. Experience in tax return preparation (Corporation Tax, VAT)
18. Solvency II experience
19. Analytical mindset with ability to problem solve as this role requires working with quantitative data as well as interpreting qualitative information
20. This role requires working with data, mainly using Excel. Expect job holder to be comfortable using Excel (up to SUMIFS, VLOOK, etc. sort of level)
21. Knowledge of UK GAAP reporting
Education and Qualifications
22. Membership of a professional accounting body
23. Degree in a technical subject
