Overview
Our Maintenance team are a key member of MacTaggart Scotts success; they are responsible for ensuring our facilities run smoothly conducting routine repairs, maintenance and ensuring all breakdowns are managed and equipment is returned to operational capacity as soon as possible. Our maintenance team is responsible for minimizing downtime and therefore assist in ensuring production is able to run on schedule.
With a focus on the Mechanical side our Maintenance Engineers will be responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery with a hydraulic or pneumatic nature. Based on the shop floor you will monitor and maintain our machines to ensure production runs smoothly and repairs are conducted in a timely and cost effective manner.
Requirements
Essential
* Good all round knowledge of hydraulic/pneumatic systems and equipment
* Efficient in reading/understanding engineering drawings, hydraulic/pneumatic circuits
* Good all round knowledge of manual/CNC machine repair
* Good all round knowledge of general maintenance and repair of buildings
* Counter balance fork lift experience
* Overhead crane experience
* Quick-thinking and the ability to deal with situations as they arise
* Be able to work on your own using your own initiative
* The ability to work as part of a team.
* The ability to work under pressure
* Have completed a time served apprenticeship
