Technical Sales Engineer - SW
£45,000 to £55,000 basic, commission, car, plus benefits

Job:
The successful candidate must have a proven track record of sales, business development, and account management, with the ability to identify, win, and build excellent commercial relationships with key accounts and their decision-makers (health & safety, procurement, Engineers, R&D, and directors). Ideally, candidates will have come from within the specialty of ground engineering in the construction industry. It would also be advantageous for candidates to have a solid understanding of structures, geotechnics, surveying, piling, foundations, etc. Therefore, candidates from allied markets will also be considered such as house builders, piling companies, building services, civils, architects, loss adjusters, and surveying. The role will cover the UK South West.
Role:
1. Hitting Sales Targets: Providing technical expertise and support during the sales process, from initial contact through to sale closure. This might include presenting and demonstrating products, preparing technical proposals, and responding to technical queries.
2. Customer Engagement: Proactively reaching out to potential clients to establish relationships, understand their technical requirements, and identify opportunities where our solutions can add value.
3. Personalised Solutions: Customising technical specifications and demonstrating how a product or service solves specific challenges.
4. Collaboration with Technical Teams: Working closely with the technical team to ensure that the proposed solutions are feasible, cost-effective, and align with the client's expectations and timelines.
5. After-Sales Support: Offering ongoing support to clients after a sale has been made, providing troubleshooting assistance, and advising on upgrades or future enhancements.
6. Understanding our Products and Services: Gaining deep knowledge of the company's products and services, how they operate, and how they can be applied to solve specific client problems or enhance their operations.
Requirements:
* Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in the technical sales field.
* Background in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
* Good understanding of the construction and engineering industry.
* Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
* Ability to effectively translate complex technical information into clear, customer-friendly language.
* Strong problem-solving abilities.
* Previous experience mentoring/managing others effectively.
* A valid driver's licence.
Package / Remuneration:
The remuneration package offered at this stage is subject to the experience of the candidate, but will likely include the following:
* Basic Salary: Between £45,000 - £55,000
* Company Car: Car Allowance
