This role is 0.6FTE, part time, job-share with a preferred working pattern of 3 long days (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) or 5 short days. What will the postholder be doing? As an HR Support Officer, you will be integral to the efficient operation of the HR team at Ofqual. Your role will involve providing comprehensive administrative support, including managing files, handling queries, and producing employment contracts. You will lead the monthly payroll process, ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time. You will support the production of reports and management information to inform HR activities and administer HR management information systems, providing user support as needed, maintaining accurate HR records and ensuring key events like probation periods are signed off. You will contribute to the development and maintenance of efficient HR administrative procedures, you will also manage employment and health benefits, and oversee the employee recognition process. Handling the administrative elements of new starter and leaver processes, including induction and probation, will be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will provide first-line HR support to employees and line managers on matters of pay, leave, sickness absence, and other administrative activities.
