We are looking for a highly confident and enthusiastic individual to work as an Operational Manager within the CSCS care group. This post will be primarily based at York but will require you to work in both York and Scarborough Hospitals
You will be an experienced and compassionate leader, supporting operational, administrative and clinical teams to deliver high quality care primarily in the Dermatology service, whilst having oversight of the day to day running of the Bereavement and Mortuary service, plus Psychological Medicine.
You will have an interest in service improvement and will be a responsive and autonomous leader. The post will provide you with an opportunity to work closely with colleagues Dermatology pathways and performance targets, and ensuring timely access to acute and planned care. You will benefit from the support of your peer managers, clinical leads and the senior management team.

You will be responsible for the day to day operational management of the Dermatology service within the care group ensuring we are delivering high quality, effective and efficient care to our patients. The post holder will also be responsible for the smooth operating of the bereavement and mortuary department ensuring relatives and families are supported in the best possible way with regards to their loved ones. They will also be responsible for the operational management of Psychological Medicine and providing operational support to the cross site Phlebotomy service where needed.
The post holder will report to the Senior Operational Manager responsible for their services and work in partnership with senior colleagues within the Care Group and the wider Trust, to ensure delivery of the portfolio of services and activities within a clinically and financially sustainable model.
The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day line management of staff members, plus management responsibility for the administration and clerical functions within their services.
