An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us in the Cardio-Respiratory department as a Band 4 Healthcare Science Associate Practitioner - Cardiology.
The role will be primarily based at Chesterfield Royal Hospital; however, successful candidates will be expected to also work at local community diagnostic centres when required.
This role will include performing 12 Lead ECG’s, fitting and analysis of ambulatory ECG monitor supported by the cardiac physiology team, and assisting the cardiac physiology team during Exercise tolerance tests, autonomic function tests, and head up tilt tests. Daily support and supervision of Cardio-Respiratory Technical Assistants and responsibility for equipment servicing/maintenance are part of the role.
Chesterfield Royal Hospital is located in Calow, Chesterfield, which is situated on a green field site on the edge of the Peak District National Park. It is home to the Crooked Spire and is also close to Sheffield, Derby, and Nottingham, thus offering numerous choices for recreational activities and lifestyles.
Chesterfield Royal Hospital was officially opened by the queen in 1985 and since then it has continued to expand and modernise, currently holding approximately 500 beds. We provide acute in-patient and out-patient care for Chesterfield and the surrounding rural area of North Derbyshire, serving a population of approximately 400,000 people.
Candidates should possess a minimum of two years clinical experience working as a Cardiographer/Healthcare Science Assistant.
