Electrical and Instrumentation (EC&I) Engineer Role at Malone Group
The Malone Group is an established engineering and safety services company with expertise in delivering complex projects across various sectors including food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, and utilities in Ireland, the UK, and Canada.
This key role will be part of the Control & Automation Department within our UK business. As an EC&I Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and delivering projects to meet client needs while adhering to company quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with electrical and automation engineering teams to ensure client requirements are met according to company standards
* Design, implement, and manage electrical control systems, including developing PLC I/O lists, electrical schematics, terminal lists, and cable schedules
* Conduct site surveys, create specifications for procurement, and oversee the selection and installation of electrical components
* Supervise electrical installation subcontractors, ensuring adherence to quality standards, project timelines, and health and safety regulations
* Support commissioning activities, including dry and wet testing, and provide final project documentation
Requirements:
* Multidisciplinary role requiring a broad knowledge of electrical engineering principles
* Minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of post-qualification experience
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, and Excel
* Strong knowledge of IEE Wiring and ATEX regulations
* Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects
* Willingness to travel to client sites across the UK and internationally
