At Quest Global, we are looking for Supplier Development Engineer at Solihull, which is 100% Onsite 12 months contract, Outside IR35 / Permanent can be possible Job Requirements Essential Job Functions Conduct Risk Assessments, Rate Readiness Assessments, Process Capability Assessment, Statistical Process Control, Capacity Assessment of the supply base to meet the customers quantity and schedule demands Drive consistency and adherence to quality procedures and specification requirements Contribute to problem solving and process improvement activities, using standard approaches and tools. Approve suppliers according to our sourcing process. Participate on definition of material specifications with Engineering Process Engineering, Purchasing and supplier. Establish supplier development programs at respective suppliers with the assigned commodity and follow up corrective actions and results of those programs. Perform supplier audits in accordance with our sourcing process and/or supplier development programs. Negotiate and successfully finalize standard supplier quality manual with suppliers. Support an escalation path in case of ongoing supplier quality issues, ongoing bad supplier rating and uncooperative suppliers. Define necessary actions for early production containment. Retain and track supplier records. Execute regular supplier rating for respective suppliers. Establish continuous improvement programs with suppliers. Track, update and report our relevant KPI Essential Competencies (Both Technical and Behavioral) Ability to work under minimal supervision to execute the Essential Job Functions required Ability to interpret Engineering drawings / GD&T specifications required Proficiency with MS Office products Excel and PowerPoint required Self-motivated, disciplined, and organized Ability to persuade and influence without authority Excellent verbal and written communication skills Highly Valued Competencies Knowledge of Aerospace products, manufacturing process planning Review level knowledge of the PPAP and FAI processes Experience with AS9100, ISO9001, APQP, QMS, Lean/Six Sigma Work Experience Education, Training, and Experience Supply Chain Management, Supplier Development, or Manufacturing Engineering experience Practical experience of New Product Introduction within Aerospace manufacturing, or automotive BS degree in Engineering or Technical field (or equivalent experience) Project Management experience will be advantageous General Skills: Familiarity with Aero-Engine components and assemblies Interacting with Suppliers, Buyers, Engineers Proficiency using MS Office suite tools Personal Work Attributes Self-motivated, disciplined, and organized Ability to focus on semi-repetitive tasks Maintain Integrity & Ethics in all situations Superior Customer interaction Team oriented collaborator / contributor Excellent verbal and written communication skills
