We have an exciting opportunity available at the Royal Cornwall Hospital for Registered Nurses to join our committed team on the Gastroenterology and Liver Unit in the Specialist Services and Surgery Care Group.
We are a very dedicated team that strives to offer the best care for our patients and their needs.
We are seeking applications from registered nurses who have the ability and determination to learn and gain new skills and competencies and who are motivated to develop the highest standards of care and who are committed to continuous improvement.
Main duties of the job
1. To work as a skilled member of the nursing team.
2. To provide a high standard of compassionate patient-centred care.
3. To lead and supervise the work of other qualified and unqualified staff within the team.
4. To communicate effectively at all levels within the multi-disciplinary team.
5. To be able to take charge of the ward in the absence of senior nursing staff, as deemed appropriate by the Ward Leader or Clinical Matron.
Successful applicants will have excellent communication skills and have a good knowledge and understanding of clinical standards. You must be able to work on your own initiative and also be an excellent team player whilst being prepared to develop as an individual and support others to develop.

Person Specification
Education
* Level 1 Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration
* Evidence of Professional Portfolio
* Assessing and Mentoring Qualification
Experience
* A minimum of six months experience in an acute Trust within the last twelve months
Skills
* Basic Computer Skills
* Record Keeping Skills
