OCU Nettworx (Part of the OCU Group) are currently looking for a Plant and Transport Coordinator, based in our Leyland office.
The Plant & Transport Coordinator will be responsible for the sourcing and coordination of the company’s plant, equipment, and vehicles, liaising with site management to ensure that deliveries and collections are arranged on time.
Ensuring all vehicles, plant, and equipment are maintained, serviced, repaired, and in good working order by liaising with drivers, operators, and suppliers. All calibration and inspection schedules are met, and data and certification are kept up to date.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Liaising with site personnel on forthcoming contract requirements.
2. Maintaining accurate records of all vehicles, plant & equipment, ensuring all necessary maintenance/repairs are carried out at the earliest possible convenience with minimum disruption to site operations.
3. Analysis of daily defect checks prioritising order of response.
4. Prepare accurate cost reports of all utilised plant & equipment upon request.
5. Provide accurate information to support & enable the payment of invoices.
6. Contribute to the continuous improvement in the safety, quality, efficiency & effectiveness of the services delivered to their customers while being Carbon Conscious.
Skills and Experience:
1. Coordination of vehicles, plant, or both.
2. Computer literate in Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook.
3. Basic understanding of relevant health & safety legislation.
4. Excellent admin skills & attention to detail.
5. Confident when liaising internally & externally.
6. Familiar with UK geography.
