Provide direction and supervision to the assigned project delivery team and supporting staff. Ensure that assigned projects are planned and managed in accordance with regulatory H&S standards, policies and procedures. Establish and maintain a good, professional and pro-active working relationship with the contractor/delivery partner's project management team where applicable to ensure delivery of intended business benefits. Within agreed authority levels, negotiate, procure, and authorise all project contracts and variations and approve and authorise all payment to meet value for money criteria. Responsible for the financial cost management of the project(s), ensuring that works are completed within allocated budget and cost performance measures / indices are reported and adhered to. Ensure compliance with relevant governance and other forms of assurance. Preparation and presentation of periodic reports. Coordination of assigned projects with internal and external stakeholders. You’ll need to have: Experience working in the Rail sector, a professional qualification in Project Management, such as PRINCE2 or APMP Good knowledge and understanding of project and programme management methodologies and their practical application in a transport setting. An understanding of project control tools and techniques such as change management, risk management etc. You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams.
