Our client, a leading UK bank, is undergoing a major transformation program and is looking for experienced Payments Business Analysts to support a large-scale migration project and system configuration. This role is critical in ensuring the successful delivery of payments-related changes within the program.
Key Responsibilities:
* Gather, analyse, and document business requirements for payments-related projects.
* Support the migration and configuration of new payments systems and processes.
* Work closely with Project Managers, technical teams, and business stakeholders to define solutions.
* Ensure regulatory and compliance requirements for UK payments are met.
* Conduct gap analysis and process mapping to improve operational efficiency.
* Assist in defining and implementing test strategies for payments functionalities.
* Provide impact assessments on changes affecting payments infrastructure.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Business Analyst within payments and banking.
* Strong understanding of UK payments schemes, including Faster Payments, Bacs, CHAPS, SEPA, and SWIFT.
* Experience working on migration projects, system implementations, or transformation programmes in payments.
* Excellent stakeholder management and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
* Strong documentation skills, including BRDs, user stories, and process flows.
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements impacting UK payments (e.g., PSD2, ISO 20022).
* Experience in Agile or Waterfall methodologies is beneficial.
Location: Remote (with travel to Newcastle/Glasgow once or twice a month)
Contract Length: 6+ months
Rate: Competitive, Inside IR35
