Job Description
Assistant Accountant (Service Charge - Commercial):
As part of the team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and efficient financial management of service charge accounts within a fast-paced environment while upholding compliance with financial regulations as well.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing and maintaining service charge accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with RICS regulations
* Prepare and review service charge budgets
* Producing client statements and any additional reports required
* VAT reporting
* Collaborate with property management team to resolve accounts queries
* Liaise with external accountants on production of year end accounts where necessary
The Successful Applicant
* A strong educational background in accounting or finance.
* MUST HAVE - COMMERCIAL SERVICE CHARGE experience / Commercial Property Management Accounts
* 'RICS' (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) knowledge is highly desirable
* Proven experience in a similar role within the property industry.
* Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* An understanding of relevant industry regulations.
