About us
The purpose of the Salford Safeguarding Children Partnership (SSCP) is to ensure that, at a local level, organisations and agencies are clear about how they will work together to safeguard children and promote their welfare. The SSCP works with a wide range of partners to ensure that multi-agency arrangements for children in Salford are effective, and lead to improvements in children’s lives. The SSCP has a clear vision, that “all partners in Salford are committed to working together, so that every child is safe, well and able to reach their full potential.”
The SSCP promotes high standards of safeguarding practice, and we foster a culture of continuous improvement. We seek to learn from what works and we reflect on where we can strengthen our multi-agency safeguarding approaches, with the ultimate aim of improving outcomes for children and young people.
Collectively, we seek to evaluate practice and its impact to ensure that professionals and organisations within Salford keep children safe. We undertake a range of multi-agency audits to quality assure practice and ensure that learning from Practice Reviews is shared across the partnership, to make improvements. Performance management information is considered to track progress and we triangulate this evidence with feedback from children and young people, to evidence the impact of our partnership activity upon improving outcomes for children.
About you
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated person with a proven ability to deliver outcomes and evidence impact for the SSCP. You will be expected to adopt a flexible approach, to manage your own workload and to work as part of a team.
You will need to demonstrate a proven track record in coordinating quality assurance and audit activity and demonstrating impact. You will need the ability to translate complex ideas into user-friendly information to ensure that all audiences understand key messages.
You will need to be skilled in developing strong relationships with key partners and working in collaboration with other professionals, to evaluate practice and its impact.
About the role
The Performance and Quality Assurance Officer has a key role in the implementation of the Safeguarding Effectiveness Framework and will lead on coordinating and delivering the performance and quality assurance functions of the SSCP. The role will support the evaluation of practice and its impact, to ensure that professionals and organisations in Salford keep all children safe.
The role will support the SSCP in providing assurance that safeguarding practice is as effective as possible, using a range of mechanisms to coordinate, monitor, challenge and improve our services, and outcomes for children and young people.
The role will support the SSCP to learn from every opportunity and ensure that we have a skilled workforce who have access to up-to-date, relevant information, to help them to keep children safe.
