We are hiring a Graduate Product Designer!
Moduflex Ltd is a UK based manufacturing organisation in Storage solutions, committed to delivering high-quality products and exceptional service. We are looking for a motivated Graduate Product Designer to join our dynamic team and contribute to our mission of excellence in design and production particularly in our MFC based products.
Job Overview: As a Graduate Designer, you will play a key role in supporting the design process by creating visually engaging and functional designs that meet project requirements. This position is ideal for recent graduates looking to start their career in design, where you will collaborate closely with various teams to bring concepts to life.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the development of design concepts and visual communication materials.
2. Work with the design team to create detailed design specifications and prototypes.
3. Conduct research on design trends, materials, and user preferences to inform your work.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, engineering, and production to ensure designs meet project goals.
5. Utilise design software to create graphics, layouts, and presentations. Experience in using CAD software is essential, Solidworks is ideal and SWOOD is desired but not essential.
6. Contribute to the design process by providing innovative ideas and creative solutions.
7. Support project management by tracking design progress and deadlines.
8. Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback into your work.
Qualifications:
1. Relevant degree in Design (Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field).
2. Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Solidworks, SWOOD and CAD software.
3. Experience in render software desired – specifically KeyShot.
4. Strong portfolio showcasing design skills and creativity specifically in the furniture/storage industry would be beneficial.
5. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
6. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
7. Familiarity with Sigma principles and methodologies is a plus.
8. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a desire to learn and grow in the field.
