Gap Personnel (operating as an employment business) are currently recruiting for our client in Hortonwood for a Stock Controller on a permanent contract.
Hours of work:
Monday - Friday
8:30am - 5pm
Pay
£25,000 to £29,000 dependent on experience
Description and key responsibilities as a Stock Controller:
Support all Operational processes
Support replenishment and stock transfer processes
Responsibility for the accurate and timely stock adjustments for all discrepancies
Control and maintain PI, and investigate variances and root cause analysis
Ensure all temporary, ghost, or holding areas are cleared weekly
Help control the process of all material movements in and out of production/warehouse
Stock adjustment processing and detailed and accurate recording
Audit the use of works orders throughout production to ensure correct materials used
Investigate and correct all incorrect works orders closures
Ensure unnecessary open works orders are closed in a timely manner
Identify areas of poor stock control & propose corrective actions
Review material control procedures
Monitor raw material/product condition, and advise where improvements are needed to ensure product is clearly identified and stored without damage
Weekly monitoring and reporting on KPI’s
Monitor obsolete stock and work to reduce value
Processing of reject and scrap material to include uplift by supplier or scrap off site
Stock-take preparation and organisation, followed by audits
Investigate sales credit claims via PI process
Support in product recalls and provide traceability.
Provide external auditors with evidence of counts and justify movements, show auditors around site as required.
Audit and control all external stock in 3PLs, with regular checks (frequency to be determined by Warehouse and Logistics Manager)
CHEP pallet audits at least bi-annually or as requested by Management
Carry out any reasonable task requested by management.
Follow company policies and procedures, i.e. Health & Safety, Hygiene, ISO 9001.
Ensure good communication with Colleagues/all Leaders/Operators
Be prepared to work anywhere within the Warehouse Department.
Contribute to keep all areas of Factory clean, i.e. Production area, canteen & toilets
Qualifications and skills required as a Stock Controller:
High level of numeracy
Excellent knowledge of computerised stock control systems
Analytical skills
Exceptional eye for detail
Drivers Licence (for off site audits)
Confident with communication
Motivated & proactive
