Our client, Scottish Power Renewables, is looking for an Electrical Coordinator to join their team on a contract basis (ends 31/10/25).
It is a hybrid role based in either Glasgow or London (2 days a week onsite).
To perform the role of OSS Electrical Coordinator, ensuring offshore substation electrical engineering design meets business procedures, contract requirements, and industry best practices.
The OSS Electrical Coordinator will be integrated within the Offshore Platform Team and be responsible for:
1. Definition of main design criteria and functional requirements regarding Offshore Substation (OSS) electrical design including main electrical equipment, low voltage system, control, protection, metering, SCADA, and telecommunications, managing the work of a team of specialists in the aforementioned areas.
2. Being aware of electrical area interfaces with other areas, managing them as well as the associated inputs and outputs required for project progress.
3. Assuring the internal coordination of the Electrical Team working for the OSS package to ensure that the design deliverables produced by Contractor/Subcontractors are received, reviewed, commented, accepted, or rejected by the right person in due time.
4. Collecting and making available for the OSS design the relevant information from other electrical areas of the project out of the OSS Design Team (i.e., TSO, electrical system studies, WTGs, array, or export cables).
5. Being the focal point for reporting to the OSS engineering coordinator about the electrical area and providing technical support to any other area regarding OSS electrical design until the OSS is transferred to O&M.
As a minimum, the candidate must possess the following competencies:

5. Solid grasp of engineering and work control of large-scale project delivery.
6. IT literate with the ability to operate MS Office systems and learn how to use new IT applications.
7. Educated to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline or a related subject.
8. Self-motivated, with personal organization and planning skills.

3. Comprehensive knowledge of engineering procedures, standards, and guidance.
The candidate should also possess:
1. Knowledge and experience of EHV/HV electrical equipment.
2. Knowledge and experience of substation electrical systems.
3. Experience of engineering design and delivery.
4. Understanding of electromechanical drawings and documents.
5. Analytical, with an eye for detail.
6. Project, contract, and time management, with the ability to complete projects and keep to deadlines.
7. Adaptable and good at problem-solving.
8. Enthusiastic and flexible approach to work.
