Your Tasks
1. Operate as a member of the Quality Station team, ensuring that the Quality Station and Weighbridge office area is maintained in a clean and tidy condition.
2. Oversee all incoming wood based materials at the Hexham site to ensure that they meet the agreed Company Quality standard and laid down purchasing specifications.
3. Where necessary, operate the computerised weighbridge system (SAP) with regard to the receipt of wood fibre raw materials in accordance with the procedures set out in the Dry Fibre System.
4. Assist with on-site security control measures and ensure emergency procedures and actions are maintained.
5. Be professional and courteous to all visitors and to follow the checking in procedure with due care and attention with each visitor. To maintain an orderly system for the function.
6. Participate in the compilation of detailed weekly, monthly and annual facts and figures as required with regard to moisture content, sieve analysis, bench testing etc. on behalf of the Wood Purchasing Department.
7. Where necessary be able to liaise with other departments at all levels, and communicate Quality issues to wood purchasing managers and suppliers.
8. Observe and comply with company quality standards as laid out in the Quality Manual.
9. Be aware of, and comply with the safety precautions as detailed in the Health and Safety procedures and to ensure that safety equipment is in good order and used when necessary.
10. To ensure that the operation and related tasks are conducted in a safe working manner and that any incidents/accidents and hazards are duly reported.
Our Requirements
11. Good standard of secondary education.
12. Familiarity with computer systems and basic standard of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
13. Good communication skills.
14. Able to work a 06:00 - 14:00, 14:00 - 10:00 rotating weeks Monday - Friday Shift pattern.
