Your Role: We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Executive Assistant to support the Chief Financial Officer at News UK. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the Finance department and providing essential administrative support to the CFO.
Day to Day you will:
1. Act as both the internal and external representative/first point of contact for the Chief Financial Officer.
2. Provide EA support with diary, travel and meeting management, making decisions and constantly thinking on your feet.
3. Provide complex diary management, scheduling meetings and ensuring a timely arrival.
4. Prepare meeting materials/briefings as required, manage visitors, telephone calls and correspondence responses.
5. Email management for the Chief Financial Officer, actioning where possible and alerting on urgent messages.
6. Manage the Chief Financial Officer’s expenses.
7. Attend meetings and take minutes/actions as required.
8. Maintain a high level of service even when directing inquiries away from the executive to help better manage their calendar and activities.
9. Provide administrative support of a highly complex and responsible nature to the executive including managing workflow, prioritising schedules and anticipating next steps.
10. Proofreading, editing documents and effective document control with paper and electronic copies.
11. Facilitate an organised department and promote a positive, productive and motivated working environment.
12. Be responsible for supporting the Chief Financial Officer in day to day activities. Act with the utmost discretion with sensitive and confidential information.
13. Operate in a highly professional and well-organised way with excellent communication skills.
What we are looking for from you:
1. Experienced EA with excellent communication skills.
2. High level of personal and data organisation skills, with particular regard to maintaining security of confidential data.
3. Ability to manage a varied workload without supervision, to determine priorities for self and meet deadlines.
4. Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills.
5. Ability to draft, proofread and edit documents for spelling, grammar and punctuation.
6. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships at all levels.
7. Demonstrates the highest level of maturity, professionalism and judgement.
8. Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications including Gmail, GSuite and MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

10. Principled in the way you go about your role and the decisions you make.
11. Purposeful with a strong desire to achieve and deliver work to a high standard.
