With 150 seats, our restaurant is designed to offer exceptional food and service to a diverse clientele. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head of Reservations with a flair for managing events to join our team and help us make an unforgettable mark in Soho’s culinary scene.
The Role: As the Head of Reservations, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the guest experience from the moment they book a table. You will be responsible for overseeing the reservations system, managing a team, and working closely with the restaurant’s management team to ensure seamless service for our guests. In addition to reservations, your role will involve organizing and managing events and private bookings, helping to create memorable experiences for corporate clients, special occasions, and private parties.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the day-to-day management of the reservations system, ensuring it runs smoothly and efficiently.
* Lead and mentor a team of reservation agents, providing guidance, training, and support.
* Handle guest inquiries, bookings, and special requests with professionalism and attention to detail.
* Work closely with the restaurant’s management team to optimize table allocation, service flow, and guest experience.
* Manage and coordinate private events, including corporate functions, parties, and special occasions.
* Collaborate with the marketing and events teams to promote events and create tailored guest experiences.
* Ensure all reservation data is accurately recorded and maintained in our booking system.
* Handle customer feedback and resolve any issues related to reservations or events.
* Monitor reservation trends and adjust strategies to maximize bookings and occupancy.
* Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures for reservations and event management.
About You:
* At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant environment.
* Strong experience in managing both reservations and events, with a keen eye for detail and a customer-first approach.
* Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work well with both guests and staff.
* Proficiency with reservations and booking systems; knowledge of OpenTable or similar platforms is a plus.
* Experience in managing and coordinating private events, from small dinners to larger-scale functions.
* A positive, proactive attitude, with a passion for providing exceptional guest experiences.
* Strong leadership skills, with experience in team management and development.
