We are seeking Telematics Project Engineers and Project Managers, on behalf of our globally successful Automotive OEM, based in Bedfordshire, on a contract basis. The successful candidates will be responsible for the implementation of on-board Telematics systems, whilst collaborating with connected car design and test teams.
Responsibilities:
1. Generation and release of TCU configuration data
2. Managing suppliers to meet quality, cost and delivery targets
3. Coordination of in-house and supplier TCU validation
4. Project management of on-board and off-board connected car and infotainment teams
5. Collaboration with Telematics Service Providers, ensuring their development schedules are aligned
6. End-to-end management and delivery of new IT capability or enhancements through various phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
7. Lead and manage highly complex projects with cross-functional impact across a number of technical systems, business domains, divisions, and third parties
Background and Experience Required:
1. You will ideally be degree educated
2. Experience with Telematics hardware, systems, and knowledge of vehicle connectivity
3. Understanding of mobile network infrastructure and data transfer
4. Knowledge of vehicle electrical and electronic architecture
5. Experience in Project Management in the IT Industry
6. Knowledge of 5G technologies, non-European mobile networks, MQTT, End-to-End System architecture, and an understanding of European Ecall regulations is desirable
