A leading higher education institution near Oxford is seeking a proactive and forward-thinking accounting professional. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the successful candidate will manage all aspects of the institution's finance function and support its expansion plans.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee the finance function and manage the team for both domestic and international operations.
* Generate monthly management reports and perform variance analysis.
* Evaluate business performance and pinpoint areas for improvement.
* Develop financial forecasts and annual budget plans.
* Supervise the annual external audit process and complete year-end financial accounts.
* Compile and submit annual finance reports to the Office for Students.
* Administer the external payroll service.
* Assist with daily financial operations.
* Undertake additional duties as required.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in finance.
* Chartered Accountant qualification.
* Proven experience in leading finance teams.
* Proficiency in Excel.
* Excellent communication abilities.
