Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time, permanent Child In Need Coordinator (CINCO) within Salford’s Safeguarding Children and Quality Assurance Unit, based at Unity House, Swinton.
The post holder must be a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England and have 3 years post qualifying experience, be able to display and promote restorative practice whilst demonstrating enthusiasm and passion for protecting children and young people across the city.
To do this, you will:
* Chair complex Child In Need Meetings and review Supervision Orders using the Restorative Conferencing and Family Partnership Model.
* Be proactive in your responsibilities towards ensuring best outcomes for children and young people subject to Child In Need Plans.
* Offer expert advice, support, consultation, and mediation on practice issues to Children’s Services staff on individual cases.
* Demonstrate substantial experience in work with children and families, including Child In Need, Child Protection and Care Proceedings.
* Have good knowledge of specific child protection matters such as Forced Marriage, Fabricated Illness, Female Genital Mutilation, Sexually Harmful Behaviour Planning meetings and Trafficking.
