Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Our client, one of the leading companies in the FM sector, is currently looking to employ a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer on a temporary full-time basis at a static site in Orpington, with the view to go permanent for the right person.
Main Purpose of the Role:
To provide Planned Preventative Maintenance and Reactive works across the site.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
Responsibilities:
1. Carry out maintenance, repairs, testing, and inspection of building, mechanical and electrical services, associated systems, plant, and equipment in accordance with relevant standards and operational procedures.
2. Provide cover for absent colleagues as appropriate to maintain the service.
3. Carry out duties in accordance with safe working practices within statutory, NHS, Trust, and Company guidelines.
4. Maintain, service, and repair a wide range of building services, including:
1. Heating and domestic water services
2. General electrical services such as lighting and power
3. Air handling units
4. Low voltage electrical distribution system and switchgear
5. Emergency standby generating plant
6. Fire alarm systems and emergency lighting
7. Electrical control systems
8. Building Management System
9. Manage Plant Rooms, including Steam Pipes
Person Requirements:
1. Fully qualified and experienced within a mechanical engineering discipline (NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing Minimum).
2. Experience of building and facilities maintenance.
3. Multi-skilled with a mechanical bias.
4. No criminal record.
