Morrison Water Services is recruiting for a Traffic Management operative to work on our Yorkshire Water contract based in Normanton.
As the Traffic Management operative you will work within the Traffic Management department. – The Role will require All forms of temporary traffic management to be installed to support the R&M and pro-active teams in order for them to carry out their works. You will also be required to install Traffic Management to assist Yorkshire Water with their investigatory works and to maintain water supplies with the usage of over-land equipment.
As the Traffic Management Operative you will be required to:
- Understand and follow all MUS policies and procedures
- Work under own initiative.
- Be able to carry out and record daily vehicle checks.
- Have a full and thorough understanding of the Safety at Street Works and Road Works, A code of practice document.
- Follow clear instruction from line managers.
- Competent in the maintenance of traffic management sites including battery exchanges.
- Competent in Loading and unloading all aspects of T.M. onto vehicles and making sure all vehicles are sufficiently and safely secured.
- Setting out, maintaining and removal of road closures and diversions.
- Competent in using a stop/go system of work.
- Read, Understand and follow CAD drawings.
- Carry out site set up and dismantle photographs and videos
- Competent to Install, set timings, maintain and dismantle all types of temporary traffic lights including, 2 way and multi- phase
- Think on your feet and adjust sites accordingly when required.
- To carry out and complete site-specific risk assessments and amend when necessary.
Skills Required:
- Computer literate
- Team player.
- Minimum qualification - NRSWA unit 2 signing, lighting and guarding
