Job Title: Technical Pre-Sales Engineer

Job summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Pre-Sales Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will provide technical support and expertise to our distributors and business partners across the UK and Europe. This role involves working with VRF air conditioning systems and cooperating with technical, sales and marketing teams as well as MHI's design department.
Key responsibilities:
1. Provide technical support to European distributors:
1. Assist reactively European distributors and business partners throughout Europe.
2. Respond to pre-sales enquiries and collaborate with the team.
3. Visit distributors and business partners offices to respond to their requests.
2. Survey the market for new Air Conditioning products:
1. Communicate closely with European distributors to evaluate each market needs.
2. Visit exhibitions to research new products, market information and regulations / directives.
3. Participate in seminars/meetings on products and sales support software.
4. Benchmark competitors' products / sales support software and make comparison.
3. Support new product development for European market:
1. Support European product development with MHI design centre and sales team.
2. Review and improve technical and service manuals for European market.
3. Support joint development of MHI product products/options with European experts.
4. Promote MHI new air conditioning products:
1. Prepare in collaboration with MHI design centre presentation on new products.
2. Introduce and promote new products highlighting key features and benefits.
3. Provide specific training highlighting advanced features and technical benefits.
4. Support the marketing department in creating new promotional materials.
5. Develop new and existing sales support software:
1. Compare competitors' sales support software and collect market needs.
2. Create and update regularly functional specifications for sales support tools.
3. Collaborate with software providers to develop and improve sales support tools.
4. Manage software development projects to meet deadline and budget.
5. Develop software and tools (in-house) to help promote new products.
6. Support certification programmes and regulatory activities:
1. Survey requirements for national subsidies, certification programmes, regulations and standards.
2. Register MHI products to relevant schemes and programmes and keep them up to date.
3. Attend Eurovent tests remotely and/or in person.
Qualification:
* Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
* Software development skills is desired.
Experience, knowledge, and skills:
* Technical experience in air conditioning for commercial applications (at least 3 years).
* Experience and knowledge in VRF and PAC systems, controllers, building management system.
* Experience and knowledge in sales support tools for air conditioners.
* Knowledge in UK and EU regulations / directives related to air conditioners.
* Advance knowledge in Microsoft (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint):
o Prepare and make presentation for promotion or reporting.
o Analyse operation data of products.
* Strong interpersonal and communications skills:
o Fluent written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
o Other European language(s) (Dutch, Spanish, French) desired but not essential.
o Multi-tasking and Prioritizing tasks.
o Strong problem-solving skills.
o Customer interaction skills.
o Open minded and able to collaborate in multi-cultural environment.
Business trips across Europe with short notice may be required.
Location: Stockley Park, Uxbridge.
